Dental Sealants :
The best way to help prevent cavities is brushing and flossing. But the back teeth called molars are rough and have uneven grooves. Its the favourable place for food to get stuck, allowing bacterial growth and cavities. Sealants are thin protective coating that adhere to chewing surface of the tooth. Thus preventing cavities.
Dental Fluoride :
Our dental office provides professional dental treatment in the form of a highly concentrated gel/ varnish. The treatment may be applied with a swab, brush or tray. This takes few min and you may be asked to avoid eating, drinking for thirty minutes after treatment, so the fluoride can fully absorb. Fluoride works by restoring minerals to tooth surface where bacteria may have eroded the enamel. It can also inhibit growth of harmful oral bacteria and further prevent cavities. It cannot remove decay but it creates a stronger outer surface to your teeth that can stop the decay from penetrating in to deeper parts of teeth.
